How do you get a refund from the parent company in a scam situation?

Web mall
purpleklipse asked:

I posted a question under beauty about this product sold in the mall as a vendor booth called SEACRET and another person had similar feedback. I then went to the company Web site and see that a product that they sold me for $130 is actually supposed to be $49.95. I paid with my Bank of America debit card and I think my boyfriend threw in some green cash too (he owed me money at the time)

What’s the best way to communicate with the parent company to just give the product back and get my money back?

background–
Has anyone seen or purchased anything from the vendor/booth in the mall called SEACRET. We totally got scammed and they were intensely high-pressure. The salt-bath alone was $130.00. that is no typo. We ended up spending $200 on a bunch of product we didn’t want and I told my BF to not argue with them anymore and we would simply bring it back. Again, they were insanely pushy and would NOT let us get away. This was Thanksgiving weekend and 3 weeks later (see below for more)
… and 3 weeks later (still before XMAS) we went back and their booth was gone. We have been to two local malls and their products claim to be made in Israel but have Israel and Arizona locations noted on the backs.

Has anyone else dealt with them?

And I do doubt this stuff is from the dead sea.

Does anyone also know if these are individual merchants that simply resell this product? The receipt was PLAIN PLAIN PLAIN with generic purple type for the costs and total and no name, etc.

wow. thank you for who has responded. any other info is muy helpful….

I just went to their site and see that the body scrub sells for $49.95. NOT the $130 that we paid. Has anyone ever tried to get a refund from a main company when their resellers sell you the product??? I have no idea how this works…..

On their Web site they accept returns EXCEPT in this situation: SEACRET SPA does not operate retail locations, refunds or exchanges for any product purchased through a retail lo
Well thanks for your input… I am not asking for a refund of like the difference or just free money. I would like to return the merchandise?

Do you guys really believe that a person should not be able to do that? People do returns / exchanges all the time!?! I never do but in this situation, most certainly want to.

Online Shopping Mall

Lee Keng Wei asked:

It is the process consumers go through to purchase products or services over the Internet. An e-shop, e-store, internet shop, webshop or web store evokes the physical analogy of buying products or services at a bricks-and-mortar retailer or in a mall. It is an electronic commerce application used for business-to-business electronic commerce (B2B) or business-to-consumer electronic commerce (B2C). It is popular mainly because of its speed and ease of use. Some issues of concern can include fluctuating exchange rates for foreign currencies, local and international laws and delivery methods.

How To Work My Power Mall Business For Free

Web mall
David Cowley asked:

First thing you need to have is a Free Power Mall account. If you do not have one then please check the resource box on this article and sign up for one, it is absolutely free. After you have signed up you will have access to 1000s of retail stores and you will receive a rebate on all of your purchases and you will receive commission on all purchases from anyone you have sponsored up to 9 tier levels deep. You will also receive all of the tools needed to become successful in your new business.

Send an invitation to everyone in your email account. I know of a lot of new comers that do not want to bother their friends and family with this kind of information but if you thought it was a good enough idea to sign up for my power mall then why would your friends and family not think this is a good idea.

The most beneficial, and for some people the hardest to do is to create an article about your power mall business. It should be well written and from 400 to 800 words long. Do not include any links in the article because most of the good article directories you will be uploading them on will not allow links in the body of the article. You can and should include links to your my power mall landing page in the resource box of the article.

Some of the ideas for your article could be; how you found out about the business, your shopping experiences on your mall, how to promote the business, how to advertise for free, what a great concept it is, how my power mall can help change the world, how your up line has helped you grow your business, how you have helped your down line grow the business, how non profit organizations could benefit.

You can also do searches on google, ask, MSN, Yahoo and other search engines to see the types of articles are already published and the title of the articles should give you ideas on what you can write about.

Submit your article to article directories. Sign up is usually free and if is not then find some place else to post your articles. In my opinion the best place to post your first article is EzineArticles. One of my articles called “My Power Mall Business Evaluation” has been listed in EzineArticle for about 2 months and it has had over 300 reads and 20 clicks to my web site so far. EzineArticle will also publish your article in up to 50,000 RSS feed and email to over 400 permission-based member/publishers. You will get hits for years to come with posting of just one article.

Some of the other article directories I like to post to are bb-articles, hubpages, squidoo, helium, chicklog, rumorist and articlebliss. Many more article directories are available and before I post an article I always check one of the articles already posted and if it has been there for about a month and it has not received more than 20 reads or so that article directory does not receive enough visitors to be of any use to me.

Start making post to blogs and forums. Some of the blog and forum that are available are bizzybloz biz, myspace, craigslist org, associateprograms, homebasedbusinessforums, blogger, wordpress, network-marketing-tips.blogspot, weblogs and yahoo groups. If you need the latest and greatest list of message boards and forums then you should check out directory.big-board.

You can get free ads at conqueryournitche. Just sign up for an account and create an ad. Then go and read some of the posts and make comments from time to time and you will earn credits for your ad placement. They have a lot of good information available and you can ask questions of other members for some specific advice.

Web Traffic: Here’s Why Paying for Your Traffic is a Smart Move

Web mall
Nicholas Tan asked:

There are so many success stories you will hear about businesses making it good in the internet. The troubling thing is, there are maybe a tenfold or even a hundredfold of stories contradictory to theirs. Many have unsuccessfully launched a business enterprise that is internet based but only a handful shall succeed.

Is this through luck? That is even more remote. It takes good business sense and a lot of help and team effort. Most importantly, it is the eagerness to succeed and the determination to learn and the willingness to invest in a lot of hard work and some money.

The Very Basic

Like Neo, traffic is “The One”. Without traffic, all your effort would just go to waste. Every business needs customers, without them you wouldn’t have anyone to sell your products to. In the internet world traffic is the walk in customer. The more traffic you have the more people would be able to sell your products to.

But like any business that’s in every corner building or in the mall, not everyone that goes in will buy, but the greater of number that do come in to browse your merchandise, the greater number of people that will buy your products. It is a simple and known fact.

But, how do you get traffic, traffic large enough that could make a small percentage of eventual buyers enough to make a good profit. Many big companies generate traffic of tens of thousands a day and a measly ten to fifteen percent actually buys, but that small percentage is enough to provide them with good business.

Many of these success stories get their traffic from paying others. Yes that’s right; you have to spend money to make money. Advertising is the key. The more people that knows that your site exists; the more people would of course go to your site, that’s common sense.

While there are many ways that can get you advertising for free, this do not generate the same high volume as those methods that are getting paid. These paid advertisements include advertising schemes by Google and Yahoo.

The Value of Searches

The search and will be the easiest and fastest medium in finding what a person needs in the internet. Search engines have been very popular because they provide a vital service to many people. They are free and easy to use. With this popularity, they get many visitors and clicks that they are the most common sites that people go to. It is easy to understand why so many companies would pay to advertise with these search engines.

Search engines provide information to the millions of users that they have each day. They provide links to many sites that a user may be looking for. If your sites link pop up in the high ranks of the search results page, you get a great chance that they will go to your site. While search engine optimization is a cheaper and low cost way to get your site a high rank, paying for advertisements will ensure that you will be on the top ranks.

When you pay for your advertisements, it is like paying for your traffic. This may sound like not such a good idea, but the payoffs would tell a different story. When you pay for your traffic, you are guaranteed of a consistent traffic flow to your site. You will never go with an empty sales day.

Paying for your Traffic

Usually, you will be charged with the number of hits a link gets when your ads is clicked, this is called pay per click. For some search engines, you will be charged with the number of times your ad shows up when a certain keyword or keyword phrase is searched. It is imperative that you have good keyword content in your ad. There are many tools that aid you in using the right keyword for the right moment.

All the money you spend in paying for your traffic will not be for naught. You will get an impressive boost in traffic which will also result to a great boost in your sales figures. Paying for your traffic would be a really good idea and you will get all the benefits it has to offer.

Internet Shopping is so Much More Relaxing

Online shopping gives you the luxury of browsing hundreds of stores from your living room, while saving on time and frustration. It provides you the chance to compare prices to your heart’s delight on a near limitless selection of brands and models.

Internet shopping is having hundreds, maybe even thousands, of options at fingertips where comparison shopping is at its finest. No more driving from one mall to another, no more endless hours looking for just the right “thing” to wear, or walking circles in the mall. And online shopping is growing in popularity at increased speeds. With the ease of wireless connections, consumers are finding that logging on and spending hours browsing and price comparing is easier than it once was.

Consumers are attracted to malls because of the presence of well-known anchors?department stores with recognized names. Anchors generate mall traffic that indirectly increases the sales of lesser-known mall stores.

With respect to product perceptions, consumers were impressed by the breadth of stores on the World Wide Web. The shopping experience was reported to be generally enjoyable. Consumers also reported that they could perceive the potential for time savings and reduced effort compared with traditional forms of shopping.

Discount shopping is the latest tool and the consumer is the real winner in it all. It is easy if you know where to look. For example, one of the most popular places for shopping specials is an online discount shopping mall. Discount shopping is buying things below normal retail price and means buying things at or below wholesale price.

The online discount shopping mall features many discount stores, find bargains from gifts to makeup and save on books, printer ink cartridges, cosmetics and fine jewelry. Shop for airline tickets, hotels and travel deals.

The discount shopping mall provide a valuable buy for your family and friends, a unique gift store below retail prices. The mall brings consumers and retailers together to benefit from each other. Individual consumers are joined together to form a vast buyer’s cooperative, thereby gaining tremendous consolidated buying power so that the members of the mall may purchase products and services at the lowest possible cost. The discount shopping mall offers a larger number of merchants coupled with the ability to shop and redeem cash back. It allows consumers to earn money for college, retirement, travel or shopping, and provides participating businesses with a loyal supportive clientele. The discount shopping mall will develop a private branded web mall to use in conjunction with its rewards cards. The new mall will offer members an opportunity to shop online at over 5000 international merchants, earning rebates, discounts and cash value rewards for themselves. In keeping with discount shopping malls’ mission, the program will allow for all cardholders to participate in making money activities through their everyday purchases. The program provides an additional vehicle for continuity, customer loyalty, cash back opportunities to the discount shopping malls’ existing member base as well as a value-added benefit to potential new cardholders.

Save on time, money and frustration: just pour yourself an iced tea and slip into your bunny slippers and start clicking!

Shopping – On The Net Or In The Mall?

Web mall
Vijay Patel asked:

More and more people are purchasing products and services on the net. You hear retailers complaining about disappointing sales every Christmas. You also hear statistics on how much business on the net is growing every year.

There are distinct advantages in purchasing on the net. You can compare prices from a hundred vendors, with out stepping out of your home, and purchase at the best price. You do not have to get in to your car on a rainy day or clear the snow from your driveway to go down to the mall to buy your product. Instead it is delivered to your cozy home by the postman or a courier. You can buy from all over the world and things not available in your neighbourhood store. You can browse unlimited varieties of merchandise and be made aware of products you never thought existed. You can book your holiday without the hindrance of a pushy salesman whose sole purpose is to get you to sign on the dotted line and bank his commission.

However, this article would not be unbiased if I did not mention the disadvantages of buying on the net as well. For starters, buying on the net isn’t for people who want to feel or try the physical product before purchasing, for example a dress or a pair of pants. It is also not for those who want instant gratification – people who cannot wait for what they want to buy. If you are someone who cannot sit down until you have the product in your hands at the moment that you want it, then rush down to the mall and by all means revel in your purchase. Returning something you do not like is also much easier when you buy from a store. Think also of how much fun it would be for a book lover to browse around in a bookshop for a few hours, hours that she wants to kill, and then leaving without buying anything. You can, of course, surf the Internet but that is not the same thing.

The seller has also some distinct advantages – she can sell out of her garage and nobody will be the wiser as long as the web site looks professional. She can cut down on costs as no retail space has to be rented or staff required. The seller does not have to carry any inventory as the merchandise can be ordered after the sale has been completed. Even customer service can be outsourced. The net is especially suited to the information sellers. Today you can publish your own Ebook and sell hundreds of thousands of copies. No printing, no :shipping, no hassle.

Thousands of businesses have sprung up on EBay and millions of web sites sell billions of dollars of merchandise and services round the clock. The Internet has truly liberated business and created income opportunities for millions of people around the world. And this is just the beginning. Where will the net take us in the next 10 years? – I have no idea just as I had no idea back in 1995, when the pioneers of the web first started doing business. But wherever we do end up, I can assure you that it will be fascinating and umpteen times bigger.

Why We Should Always Expect Less Prices at Online Stores Than at on Shore Malls

Web mall
Latif Qapdia asked:

Traditionally an online store is one open in a market place where people use to go and shop on their physical place. From owner’s point of view they have to buy or rent the place. Depending on the market place it may cost less or very high but its a major cost on owner’s part.

To attract customers they have to apply some beautiful and noticeable eye-catching counters. They have to appoint employees, salespersons to accommodate customers. These salesperson are paid on daily or weekly basis, so again its a major cost to run a store or mall. This is a running cost on owner’s part.

The counters itself costs that may come under one time cost , and not as running cost, but its an expense. To manage all these running or one time costs they have to sell products at prices where they may make reasonable profit after accommodating all these costs.

On the other hand, to run an online store you don’t need costly rental places. It may require a warehouse in a very cheap place, as such customers are suppose to look at your site not place.

It does not require to have beautiful racks and salesperson on those racks. All you need is to have an online identity, the domain name. It hardly costs 10$ per year. A hosting company to host your Home and product pages, a

shopping cart to take your orders and accounting systems. Delivery mechanisms are easy to avail and usually costs put on customers end.

All the above mentioned things, i.e. hosting, shopping carts, accounting system does not cost a lot. It requires to develop online site from a web development company or even from a free lance individual developer. Along with web site an administration panel is developed to manage new products, existing product prices, Hot offers and much more.

These are usually easy to use forms that anybody can use to add / remove / update things. But its just one time effort and cost. Then you host those pages into a hosting company web server, that may cost on avg. around $200/year for a shared hosting. This is a good quality hosting company price. Shopping carts charges are nominal fees per transaction or can be availed on monthly basis.

On the other hand the procurement costs are equal for both online or offline stores, if lets say suppliers are same. But off-shore mall has to keep prices up to bare their costs for things mentioned above while the online store, if selling on the same rate can make much more profit than the off-shore one for the same products.

Thats the reason why this is logical for an online store, whether you are buying electronics good, jewelry, clothes, gadgets, cell phones, grocery items or whatever online store can offer less prices than an physical mall and this is what we should also expect from them, along with good customer care and money back guarantees.

Business is sending me to Fresno Calif this weekend. Anyone know of good mall with movie theaters?
