Thomas B asked:
How do I go about finding the contact information, Management Company or owner of a strip mall? I know I could ask in person but unless you ask the person that writes the rent check – you get wrong information. Is there a web site or something? I am trying to solicit the landscaping accounts.
Thanks!

Vita asked: I’ve googled both terms, and on the web the two seem nearly interchangeable. I recently heard from a friend that the “gypsies,” as they’re known, form a sort of foreign, nomadic group and frequent malls, scamming retailers out of thousands of dollars. Can this be possible? I’ve never in my life heard of such “gypsies” until now, but they’ve apparently got some sort of hold on our North American industries. More than anything, I’m just curious

Can anyone clarify??
Thanks so much!
I have heard of gypsies, no doubt, good sir. And in fact, have met several. But mall gypsies, I’ve been told, are of a different variety altogether.

purpleklipse asked: I posted a question under beauty about this product sold in the mall as a vendor booth called SEACRET and another person had similar feedback. I then went to the company Web site and see that a product that they sold me for $130 is actually supposed to be $49.95. I paid with my Bank of America debit card and I think my boyfriend threw in some green cash too (he owed me money at the time)
What’s the best way to communicate with the parent company to just give the product back and get my money back?
background–
Has anyone seen or purchased anything from the vendor/booth in the mall called SEACRET. We totally got scammed and they were intensely high-pressure. The salt-bath alone was $130.00. that is no typo. We ended up spending $200 on a bunch of product we didn’t want and I told my BF to not argue with them anymore and we would simply bring it back. Again, they were insanely pushy and would NOT let us get away. This was Thanksgiving weekend and 3 weeks later (see below for more)
… and 3 weeks later (still before XMAS) we went back and their booth was gone. We have been to two local malls and their products claim to be made in Israel but have Israel and Arizona locations noted on the backs.
Has anyone else dealt with them?
And I do doubt this stuff is from the “dead sea”.
Does anyone also know if these are individual merchants that simply resell this product? The receipt was PLAIN PLAIN PLAIN with generic purple type for the costs and total and no name, etc.
wow. thank you for who has responded. any other info is muy helpful….
I just went to their site and see that the body scrub sells for $49.95. NOT the $130 that we paid. Has anyone ever tried to get a refund from a main company when their resellers sell you the product??? I have no idea how this works…..
On their Web site they accept returns EXCEPT in this situation: “SEACRET SPA does not operate retail locations, refunds or exchanges for any product purchased through a retail lo
Well thanks for your input… I am not asking for a refund of like the difference or just free money. I would like to return the merchandise?
Do you guys really believe that a person should not be able to do that? People do returns / exchanges all the time!?! I never do but in this situation, most certainly want to.

Erin asked: Can you point me to nearby malls with Macy’s, Nostrums, Banana Republic, and good shoe shops? I can’t seem to find any shopping centers there that have a web site.
Also I’m looking for a really excellent cat vet. Any recommendations?

Jim K asked:
Wondering what would be the profit potential of a coffee shop located across the street from a mall, 2,500 square feet with alot of comfortable seating, computers for web surfing and gaming (in a separated room possibly), free Wifi, popular magazines for reading, some used books possibly… offering coffee drinks, pastries, cookies… all the good stuff. Really geaered toward creating a nice atmosphere to relax or study (no noisy belnders humming constantly like you know who, and also no raping the customers on prices). Anyone out there running something similar to this? How much potential monthly profit after all expenses? Also, how many employees? BTW, the only competition in the area is a SB in the mall, and another coffee shop down the street about a mile that has TERRIBLE coffee.
lease is $2,200 per month and would have free rent for first 3 or 4 months for improvements such as the flooring and paint, which we can get at COST.
There would be 2 of us working full time, and then hire employees to cover the other needed time minus our hours. Hours of operation would likely be 7am to 10pm M-Sat, 9am to 7 or 8 pm Sundays.
